Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EcoShade, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not access the platform. EcoShade reserves the right to update these terms at any time with reasonable notice.

2. Service Description

EcoShade is a precision agriculture intelligence platform that provides AI-powered crop health analysis, satellite-based vegetation monitoring, epidemic forecasting, carbon tracking, and farm management tools. The platform is free for farmers. Revenue is generated through B2B partnerships, carbon credit facilitation fees, and marketplace commissions.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the platform.
• You must complete the onboarding process before accessing core features.

4. Free Farmer Access

EcoShade is free for farmers, permanently, with no feature paywalls on core functionality. This includes crop analysis, farm management, treatment recommendations, satellite data, weather forecasts, and carbon tracking. We will never charge farmers for these core features.

5. AI Recommendations

AI-generated recommendations are advisory only and do not constitute professional agronomist advice. All recommendations are filtered through safety rules, but ultimate responsibility for treatment decisions lies with the farmer. See our AI Disclaimer for full details.

6. Marketplace

• Products are sold by independent partner agricultural stores, not by EcoShade.
• Delivery and fulfillment are handled entirely by the partner company.
• EcoShade facilitates the connection between farmers and stores but is not a party to the transaction.
• Product availability, pricing, and quality are the responsibility of the partner store.

7. Carbon Credits

EcoShade is a facilitation platform, not an accreditation body. We do not issue carbon credits, perform verification, or handle financial transactions for carbon credit sales. We connect farmers with certified accreditation partners and carbon credit buyers. A platform fee applies to successful carbon credit transactions facilitated through EcoShade.

8. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you upload or generate on EcoShade, including crop photos, farm data, and treatment records. EcoShade may use anonymised, aggregated data for platform improvement and B2B services (such as regional disease trends). Individual data is never shared with third parties without explicit consent.

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Attempting to bypass Row-Level Security or access another user's data.
• Reverse engineering or scraping the AI analysis pipeline.
• Uploading malicious files or content that is not agricultural imagery.
• Using the platform for purposes other than agricultural management.
• Sharing account credentials with third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

EcoShade is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for crop losses, treatment outcomes, or any damages arising from the use of AI recommendations. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to us (which, for farmers, is zero).

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable EU law and the laws of Georgia. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia.
